Do I really need this? My SEO is fine.
Search SEO and AI-readiness are different problems. Google indexes once a week and ranks based on links plus content. AI agents read your site fresh on every query, do not execute JavaScript, ignore most of your link graph, and weigh structured data plus third-party mentions far more heavily. A site can rank #1 on Google and still be invisible to ChatGPT. We've seen it.

What if the Showdown shows my site is already in good shape?

Do you guarantee my site will be cited by ChatGPT?
No, and anyone who guarantees that is lying. AI agents make probabilistic recommendations based on hundreds of signals plus model-side factors we don't control. What we guarantee is that your site is eligible to be cited — agent-readable, schema-complete, trust-signalled, freshness-marked. Eligibility is the prerequisite. The lift comes from there.
How is this different from regular SEO?
SEO is about Google's algorithm. AI-readiness is about AI agents — different crawlers, different rules, different priorities, different commerce protocols. Some signals overlap (good schema helps both). Most don't. Most SEO agencies are not equipped to audit AI-readiness because the techniques are too new.
What's agentic commerce? Should I care?
Agentic commerce is when an AI agent buys directly on your customer's behalf — picks the product, places the order, pays. Google's Universal Commerce Protocol launched in January 2026 with Shopify, Etsy, Wayfair, Target and Walmart. OpenAI's competing protocol (ACP) collapsed in March. I'm on Shopify. Does this even apply?

Google specifically debunks five myths: LLMs.txt files aren't special, content doesn't need chunking, content doesn't need to be rewritten for AI, inauthentic "mentions" are treated as spam, and structured data is not required for AI Overviews.
